Wage is more than just a number – it’s all the benefits of working at your practice. Do your employees get discounted veterinary services? Do they receive healthcare and retirement benefits? That should all be taken into account when discussing wage.

It’s a mistake to talk about compensation alone. We should be looking at an employee’s performance and directly connecting that to their wage. Talk about performance quarterly, talk about compensation annually.
