The VMC School of Veterinary Practice Management
Our Next Session is scheduled for
September 15 - 19, 2008 Attendance is limited.
This program is designed as an intensive training session for veterinary practice
managers, intended for individuals with a background in clinical veterinary medicine
and practical knowledge of business management. A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in
Business is preferred but not required. The course is entirely practical in nature,
addressing all aspects of day-to-day veterinary practice management and is conducted
under the auspices of Mark Opperman, CVPM, who is President of VMC, Inc. The course
is designed by him to meet the ever-increasing demands and challenges facing
veterinary practice managers.
The school is held in Denver, Colorado, and registration is limited due to the
customized nature of the course and individual tailoring to each student's needs.
Upon completion of this course, a successful graduate should be able to effectively
manage a veterinary practice.
As a student of the VMC School of Veterinary Practice Management Training Program,
each attendee will continue to be assisted by their instructors for a six-month period
following graduation. This six-month follow-up is essential to a student's success to
ensure the transition from in-class instruction to practical utilization. The students
are at liberty to contact their instructors at any time during the six-month period in
order to gain assistance with the implementation of management projects within their
practices.
Students are encouraged to make appointments with their instructors for follow-up
and implementation purposes. As they begin applying the information gained from this
course, our instructors will help them remain on-target and guide them as they make
their practice more efficient and profitable.
What makes this school unique?
The VMC School Of Veterinary Practice Management is taught by instructors "who have
been there and done that." They incorporate a practical approach to the material
rather than an exclusively academic point of view. Students learn specific systems
and procedures that have been effectively incorporated into thousands of other
veterinary practices. Since the class size is small, students develop relationships
with their instructors and their peers that will last a lifetime and they learn how
to modify the systems and procedures to their individual practice environments.
