This two day program covers a multitude of issues relating to personnel management, including:

The Hiring Process - Getting it Right: Recruitment and Setting Up an Effective Hiring Process      Learn how to create a resource pool of applicants that will allow you to hire "10" employees. We'll review advertising considerations, reference checking and the most effective interview process to maximize your time and effectiveness.

Policies And Procedures      During this session you will actually develop an employee procedures manual for your practice with the appropriate policies and procedures as well as legal requirements. If you currently have a manual this will be a great opportunity to review and update it with current HR requirements.

Performance Planning and Evaluation      Let's help your employees be the best they can be. Learn new and exciting ways to do performance planning and evaluations. We'll look at various incentive programs available and see if one is right for you and your practice.

Common HR Mistakes and How to Avoid Them      This is information every practice owner and manger truly needs to know. We will discuss requirements for documentation and employment law. Keep yourself and your practice out of time consuming and often costly labor board and legal actions.

Handling Personnel Issues      The number one problem HR problem; dealing with conflict and problem solving within the work place. Learn when to get involved and when not to, how to improve your communication skills and deal with conflict so that the problem is favorably resolved.

Compensation, Benefits, Motivation, Delegation & Discipline      We will discuss how to enhance employee retention and create an environment in which an employee will wish to excel and be the best they can be. Learn various ways to motivate your employees to improve performance. Unfortunately, we sometimes need to liberate employees. Do you have a stated disciplinary process that is practical and legal?

What To Do Next      This is where the rubber meets the road. You'll create a list of five things you will do over the next 30 days.

TUITION FEE: The seminar fee is $595 per person; Registration is limited and advance registration is required. The fee includes all workbook materials, seminar instruction, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Wednesday and breakfast and lunch on Thursday. Please note that the registration fee does not include lodging or parking expenses. Tuition fee is stated in US Dollars.

REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION: All registrants will receive a confirmation and receipt within three business days of receipt of registration.

CANCELLATION POLICY: You may cancel your registration up to 14 business days before the seminar. Your registration fee will be refunded less a $25.00 service charge. Cancellations 14 days or less before the event will forfeit your tuition. You are responsible for your own lodging reservations.

    • 8:00am Registration and Breakfast
    • 9:00am Program Starts
    • 12:00pm Lunch
    • 5:00pm Dinner (We are planning on your attendance at this meal function as part of your participation in the course as an opportunity to network with your peers and discuss topics with the consultants. If you have special dietary requirements, please call us at least one week in advance.)
    • 6:30pm Adjourned for evening
  • Thursday:
    • 7:00am Breakfast
    • 8:00am Program Starts
    • 12:00pm Lunch
    • 4:00pm Conclusion

A limited number of rooms have been held on a first-come, first-served basis for VMC participants for Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
